An excellent podcast...kudos to you both. You brought up a few interesting questions re: application support and the responsibilities of the developer. In most larger scale organizations, the development team ceases to be directly responsible after release of the system to production...it then becomes the responsibility of a dedicated support team. That team may well engage a subset of the development team when problems are found, but typically changes will be made through the normal project and release life cycle unless they are severely client impacting. The idea is that major problems are identified and mitigated during the quality assurance (or testing) cycles that form part of any software development project.

When I was doing direct development, I created well over a thousand applications, many of which are still in use today. I certainly hope there is no one expecting me to support those applications today ;)

Great work on the cast, and keep them coming!
