WordPress Plugin that creates Widget to Show DIC Friends

Icon 2 Comments
So I was kind of bored over the holidays and wanted to play around with the DIC API so I created a WordPress plugin that creates a widget for you to list your friends on your blog. See some screen shots below.

See a live demo of it here.

Features
  • Three different display types: Profile image and name, Image only, Name only
  • Limit the amount of friends displayed

Installation
Download the file attached to this blog post (dic_lf.php) and insert it into your plugins folder. Then log into your blog and activate the plugin and add the widget to a sidebar. That's all there is to it.

Styling the List
A big fan of CSS I made it as simple as possible so that you guys would have complete control over the list. The ID of the un-orded list is dic_list_friends.

Notes
To get your id go to any post that you have posted in and mouse over your name, this will show a hyperlink with your id-username in the address bar at the bottom of the browser, use the id only.

HOPE YOU ENJOY IT!!

Pretty slick Greg! I was waiting on someone to make use of the friends portion of the profile!

Yeah. I really want to make a widget that will allow me to list off "X" number of my recent posts/comments/contributions etc. Thanks for taking a glance. I figured most DIC users weren't huge WP users, but I am glad that I got a chance to play around with the API.
