In a bout of inspiration/creativity/other most likely spurred on by several cups of strong Earl Grey, I came up with an idea for a game. In a nutshell, the game will be an isometric roguelike that has battle mechanics inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics/D20 Modern and an open environment. Since I have not yet started classes (learning how to program), I'll be doing everything I can to get my ideas onto my computer in an organized manner so I will be able to recall every idea that I have at any later date. This is going to be extremely overwhelming for a very long time, but I think that it will pay off in the long run. I'll depend on this community for help and support along the way, and I have a feeling that I'll get more than I need.
Please comment with anything you may believe I will find useful. I've already found a couple useful things in the Game Development section of the forum, but I could use all the help I can get. I'll possibly learn what I need in my classes, but there's never such thing as too much information when it comes to something like this (well, I suppose there is, but I don't expect to reach that amount).
My appologies for anything in this entry that sounds weird as it's currently 2:35 A.M. and the caffiene is wearing off. Goodnight everybody.
