Some Days Programming Makes Me Feel Stupid The Other Days VS Tells Me, "To F**K O** I'm Busy!"

Even though I've been programming for over a couple of decades, there still are days when I do stupid mistakes.
  • Forget the .Count on a collection is one more than the index position of the last item.
  • Misspelled the word details (detials) in a ID, which you can't now change cos you've implement it the code plus replicated it into 11 language packs for the software.
  • Added tracing information to every method in the solution, only to realise that you've forgotten about the early exiting parts.
If the policy was 1 Way in, 1 Way Out it wouldn't have mattered.

And the times when VS grinds me gear.
  • XAML designer halt cos one WPF form is ~2Gb* is size.
  • "Database says No!" Refuses to update a row in a table cos it'll result in a non unique key, when the only part that change the not Key part.
  • Refuse to accept null as a valid value, when the scheme allows nulls.
    * Inherited from another coder that didn't realise that VB.net is a OO language. Or utilise the principle of don't repeat yourself.
