I would never work for anyone who shortens short words. Example: Pls.

"Pls" and "plz" almost invariably cause me to hit my mental "disengage" switch and stop giving a shit about your post. It's just incredibly irritating.

I'd sign both of those addresses up for spam. Lots and lots of spam. I'm sure you could easily find such services, if you tried.

Wow that is horrible. I can only imagine that you laughed and decided to post it on Dream in Code after reading the "Pls"

Let them know that you are no longer seeking a job as your distant uncle was Nigerian royalty and left you a large sum of funny money...

I get these all the time. They are usually already 3rd-party to the client and can never offer anything close to a reasonable rate - even corp-to-corp. Every now and then I'll answer the phone just to f**k with one of them. When they start asking me questions I ignore them and ask them with questions about their credentials, who their client is, and how they got my information. Then I tell them my rate and other requirements which always gets them off the phone. Haven't done that in months. :)

Weird. Trying to edit a typo in my post and getting error.

Array ( [0] => Array ( [0] => 712 [1] => There was an error with checking that category.
Function: category::checkCategory ) )

@Programmist: Ah, then imagine finding a developer job for a reasonable rate in India. I think soon I'll have to quit coding :cry2:.

Ok I'm still a student, so I might not know all the tricks of the job trade, but what exactly is wrong with this post?

The e-mail they gave is very unprofessional. I can say that being a business student in my 4th year of college. You never use slang or shorten words in such e-mails. It is considered unprofessional way to communicate over the internet. It can also create confusion if this was sent to a person that isn't born in the U.S. they will be like what is pls...???
