LG Voyageur Phone Review

I probably should have learned my lesson with the Xbox360. That lesson being...Don't buy shit when it 1st comes out!!! Chances are there are going to be problems with it and it could turn out to be total crap.

Well here I sit today, having relentless problems with my Voyageur, and yes I got it the first week it came out. Instead I'm the idiot writing a review for the phone and telling you all my troubles.

I'll try to not bash this device the whole time and give an fair and honest review but also let you know the problems I and some other have been encountering.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, i rate this phone around a 6.5-7. At first glance this phone looks and sounds like its awesome, and it is for about the first 2 weeks you have it. But after a while let me tell you the touch screen gets old fast. For a couple different reasons..

1. If you have big hands/fingers like I do using this touch screen is some what painful. Especially if you are navigating the internet and attempt to touch a link. The best way to use the touch pad is with a pen cap, or stylus if you have one.
2.It's very sluggish. Sometimes unlocking the touch pad takes multiple attempts, and is sometimes slow.
3.If you are calling someone who you have to dial and extension calling your voice mail box, you have to unlock your phone and attempt to navigate to the number pad with out hanging up or pressing a button you didn't want to.

Its more hassle then its worth.

The phones displays are nice, clear and very crisp. The key pad on the inside is nice and roomy and texting or e-mailing is simple and easy.

With the speakers being on the inside of the phone sometimes ringers sound muffled or distorted.

The camera lacks flash and is hard to operate with the touch screen, picture quality is ok.

Battery life is down right miserable, and even with an extended battery stay on the phone for longer the 5 minutes and you can watch the battery life go down.

Verizon offered a software update that was supposed to fix all the problems and even extend battery life. (Ya right) Instead my phone randomly shuts off and if you leave it in your pocket or purse, it will randomly call people. So you are almost forced to buy a case for it.

The web browser is ok, but loads a lot of sites slow. It has good email functionality and supports yahoo, gmail, and hotmail.
Along with facebook, myspace, AIM and a lot of other useful apps. This is one of the better things about this phone.

All in all if you are looking for a phone to do a lot of texting with and some e-mail this is a alright phone if you can put up with the touch screen. But let me tell you it gets old fast and becomes more of a pain the in ass then anything.

I'm limited on time right now but i will be back later to talk more about the phone.

PM me with any questions or anything you have about the phone
