The project has progressed quite well, I can take in a 3D model, normalize it and flatten horizontal and vertical planes.
I have also implemented a minimizing method which eliminates any points which are 100% covered by other points to reduce the size of the rendered model file.
Since there haven't been any comments so far, I anticipate that this post will follow in suit.
Unless anyone interested, I will not be posting video/screenshots of the 3D models.

Sure, I will get some screenshots/video of some test models I've scanned. Perhaps I could post a before and after reduction formulas as well.
Is there anything in particular you are looking to see or just project progression as a whole?

I would really like to see the whole project progress at first (I'm curious how it looks). If it won't be a problem for you, I will later contact you about some detailed screenshots.

I've been crazy busy with assignments and exams, but I will have plenty of time starting in January (assuming I don't find any beforehand).
I may be able to find the time over my holiday break as well, as I will be bringing my laptop home with me.
I have a set of images showing the raw data, original data correction (reduces file size to ~19/20 of raw data) and the new correction algorithm I have implemented (reduces file size to ~1/6 of raw data). I will post them once my exams are finished
