...then don't contribute. I started a post a few weeks ago. Not long after I hit "submit" a troll latched onto my post. I attempted to shake him off and keep the discussion professional, but he insisted on being an a$$hat and arguing, even though there was nothing to argue about. I got busy with school and didn't have the chance to visit, but just visited and noticed that the troll's friends descended upon the post and turned it into a childish mockery that was soon closed by the owner. To the kids who can't seem to have an adult conversation: keep the low brow crap in the Lounge. Anyway, the main point of this post is not to rant about these moron, but rather to ask that when this kind of crap occurs that there be some kind of punitive action. If it runs off some trolls then good riddance. We won't miss them.

I think the best thing right now would be a targeted PM from a team member. It should straighten things up.

It usually happens. Just spammers or just annoying. I've seen a few threads were there has been a professional conversation and one completely opposite. I think in that thread, there was multiple people in the act.

I've actually encountered several where the information was not only misleading and incorrect, but had nothing to do with the original question. "Oh, you have a question about inheritance? Don't forget that you need to define a new constructor for your Animal class! Oh, that's not what the post was about? I didn't bother reading it!"

Not to mention the people who post in those homework help forums just to say "Yea, what he said.", "That'll work.", or "Just like so and so said, do this." with no futher explanation or elaboration. It's like they're posting just to be posting (you know who you are asshole!!! >=( ). This basically is the reason why I don't even bother posting in these forums anymore.
