anybody know of a good cheap cheap place where i can preserve my domain email addresses? i don't even need hosting anymore, just a place to preserve about 10 email addresses i have. cheaply. any ideas?
Well i don't think they would. Say you had before Ihavenoclue.com Your address was me@ihavenoclue.com If they support you for just the e-mail, they wouldn't be able to give anyone else the acually domain name! Get what I'm saying? That's what I think at least! Oh, welcome to DIC man
its like you are two different people. one person who posts random crap, the other who tries to help, and isnt *that* bad at it. plz, just pick one  (no offense intended)
just look around. you dont think before your post (often). dont post in every thread just because you want to. if you have no thoughts that other people will care about, just leave it alone. (i know i should take some of my own advice here, so no one jump down my throat. im getting better.) i try my best not to. and its working! i dont *think* everyone hates me, but then again, they might ;). just work with it. look at some of your posts and ask yourself 'was that necessary?' and dont just think that because its the internet that it doesn't matter what other people think. that gives us a major look at what kind of perosn you really are.

Bluecube. Here's an idea, read what his question was. He owns the domain, but he doesn't want to host it somewhere. I'm saying that godaddy will do that and you tell me no. Go to the f-ing site. godaddy.com Does it not talk about parking a domain? Email? Ok.
Don't tell me I'm wrong then.
please, id rather it not be referred to as Blue bashing. im trying to help him. ive been trying (subtly - sp?) for a while. i guess it all just came out :) you're a good person Cube, just cool it down a bit :) no hard feelings intended
Lord, I just typed a three paragraph post that was deep and profound and would have solved the world's hunger problem. Ok, maybe not the last part, but when I posted, it didn't show up. Here's what I was in short.
Neo, I did not say you were wrong. You put what you thought(hence the word you use, "think") I didnt this as well, and emphasized twice the word "think" I did not say I was right, I did not say I was wrong. Neo, I know you don't like me, and that is your choice. If you don't, that's fine, that's your opinion. But please do not try to make me look stupid, I really don't like when you do that. You know very well that what you said was an opinion. "I think that if you transfer your domain to godaddy.com they will park it and give you email for free, but I'm not positive." You said you think, and that your not positive, I did as well. You also know that I did not say you are wrong. Saying "shut up blue" was a little out of hand in my opinion. Your an admin, I'm not, so whatever happens from what I just wrote will either be me being banned or you understanding where I'm coming from. Either way, I just wanted to point out these things to you. Ya, no hard feelings Skrilla :) , and hopefully no hard feelings neo.

So, he already owns the domain and would like to get rid of his webhosting and just have email hosting.

I think you'd have to continue purchasing the domain. It's only 5-15$ a year.
How in gods name does this help him find email hosting? He already owns the domain, of course he'd have to continue paying for it, he never said he didn't want to. Do you understand how hosting works?

Here is where I actually answer his question. I give him a URL to check and I tell him to go and check. I fully understand what he needs and I'm telling him that i'm pretty sure that this company offers those exact services.
Skipping down.

So I'm wrong. You just said it right there. Go and read. Post # 5, Line #1.

If he owns the domain, he can do whatever he wants. There are a few companies, godaddy.com included that offer hosting of me@ihavenoclue.com if you own ihavenoclue.com. If he owns it, they don't care and they wouldn't want to give it to anyone else. That's why he owns it. You totally say 2 different things. You say he has to keep paying for it, and then you tell him he can't do it cause they want to sell it to someone else? How does that make any sense?
I don't like you because you made 5 posts in this thread and didn't even understand the problem. If you don't know, don't answer. Do I go in C++? Show me 1 time I have ever posted in there. Why? Cause I don't know the slightest thing about C++. If I don't know the answer, or don't understand the question, I don't post, and wow, I still have 2k+ posts. I understand that your just trying to help, BUT, you DID tell me I was wrong and you never added 1 piece of decent information to the thread.
I'm not the only one that thinks this. Here's what Skrilla said:

I'm not the only one that thinks this. Wow, who'd a thought.
I did NOT put that you were wrong. I wish you'd look. I put, "Well i don't think they would." I put that I THINK. And I then put,"That's what I think at least! " at the end. Clearly stating that was what I thought, not what I know. I did not say you were wrong!
Also neo notice that Skrilla says, no hard feelings. He is trying to help and further my skills as Eko is doing as well by giving constructive critisism. As far as I know, you are the only one who straight up doesn't like me and will not listen to anything I say! Seriously think about this entire post and if you can honestly tell me you think I was just being a pain in the ass trying to help, I will just stop the argument right here.
Admit it Blue, he's right your sorry.... Right? Right! Now go to your room!
Spag, sorry for the additional bull you had to wade through there. Sometimes the kids get to running around the house and they need a little assurance that they are wrong and going to hurt themselves. Neo and the other admins keep it under control pretty well, so I hope we continue to see you popping in and out. Hopefully Neo has answered your question.
