Hi guys, just wondering if someone out there can help me concerning the use of the FileSystemWatcher class. What I'm really wondering is where, when and why would I use this? I'm a literal novice, that is, I'm really self-taught here at home and having learned how to use this concept I was wondering if perhaps some of you guys who program for a living might be able to explain this to me. one use would be a automated data import application. your application would monitor a folder that would get files dropped into it. your application would process each file coming in...possibly inserting the data into a database.
