My site, GraphicsCode has hit a Google Page Rank of 1 (yay, we've been listed), so I was wondering, now what? How can I improve?

Page rank of 1 because someone googles "Graphicscode" Does not mean that users are going to make it to your site through search engine keywords.
You are still going to need proper direction to your site from relating keywords that are relating to the content on your site. Over time from users posts your page rank will increase increase as traffic does. If you are willing to pay for ads you can get more traffic that way but this is more going to be based on content and time.

Just get your site on the front page of Digg.

None of my sites have ever been PR1, they all jump from PR0 to PR3 within 2-3 month then slowly move on upwards after a few month.

optimizing PR1-PR9 sites is just like optimizing pr0 sites.
It's always on how you build your site links.

Get as many backlinks on related websites as you can with the words describing what your website is about (eg: Graphics Code, code to create graphics, how to code graphics) as the link anchor text. The more well anchored backlinks you get the quicker you will climb the google ranking.

How can I improve?

Keep getting links to your site: make link requests, submit to directories, do social bookmarking, write articles, create a blog, etc.
