At the end of each month, we will conduct a random drawing of all code snippets and tutorials submitted during that month. The author of the winning snippet or tutorial will win a 1GB USB 2.0 Dream.In.Code Swing Drive!

In addition to earning Dream Kudos for each snippet or tutorial you submit, you'll now have a chance to win that awesome Dream.In.Code Thumb Drive! Make sure all of your submissions meet our quality guidelines (i.e. must be original or have permissions of the original author, must be an actual snippet, or tutorial, must be accepted by the dream.in.code staff).

We will conduct a random drawing each month on the last day of the month and the winner will be announced shortly after.

Yes sir, each month we will do a random drawing of 1 member who submitted either a code snippet, or a tutorial during that month.

So if you submit a snippet or tutorial between December 1 and December 31, when we draw a name on Jan 1, you'd be eligible to win for that month.

Can do. So last year, something like a week just after registering, I see Chris posting to all members something amongst the line of "Hey guys come on! Nobody registered to the contest." So I was like WTF, so i submitted my photos and went up against a couple of leeching noobs who voted for themselves 489 times on the same IP and I won! Bam, 2 gb ipod nano at my door 4 to 6 weeks later. Moral of this story: Participate!! The photos are still in the contest thread i think. I think.

so uf some one submits more than one tutorial or snippet . does that meain that his name is going in that many no. of times or just a single time

I am going to run a SQL query at the end of each month on the tutorials and snippets submitted after the first of that month. The query will pull 1 random record, whoever submitted that tutorial or snippet is the winner that month.

So, yes, the more you submit, the more chances you technically have since it increases your odds of being drawn.

Cool. I have a 512 MB Thumb Drive. But a 1 GB sounds graet. Im learning a lot of good stuff in my engineering math. I could write a dozen of programs using algorithms I learn. Great promo Chris!!

Just a quick update, I had a last minute offer made and we were able to get the Orange USB Swing Drive with black cover. These will also come with a black lanyard.
