Hello, all.

I'm currently working on building a Ruby on Rails application - I've finished the app, and am at the point where I would like to deploy it. However, I cannot seem to get svnserve and Capistrano to play nicely together at all - I believe this is due to the Firewall at my server's co-location facility.

With that in mind, I would like to know: is it possible to deploy a Rails app without Capistrano, via FTP or SVN checkout? If so, how?

Is it possible to deploy without Capistrano? And if it is, how would I do it?

Ah - I found a way around my lack of Subversion. You just modify deploy.rb:

ruby

set :repository, "."
set :scm, :none
set :deploy_via, :copy
