I've been using C# for about 6 months. Currently I have been working with the XNA framework for .NET, developing 2-D applications, teaching myself how the framework works, and how to handle physics and the like.
My Current Projects are: A Galaga like shooter (almost done) A Physics engine game, in which the player uses the mouse to hit a ball around a room (which I'll be adding more content to as I go... gotta take these things one step at a time)
Other than that, I've written the beginnings of a Matrix library class (in the form of a .dll file) and a GUI to go along with it.
That and other random trivial toys, I am still quite new to the language, but so far love it.
Name: Ross Porter Position: Senior Software Engineer Company: Hewlett Packard (EDS, an HP Company)
Current Projects: HP Parts Store online Ecommerce Site in ASP.Net Highlight Project: Jason Foundation For Education - ASP.Net WebParts Based Classroom Learning Portal.
Actually only started working with C# for less than a year ago when I started to study Application Development in Malmö, Sweden.
At the moment I'm working at a somewhat big international company during the summer and developing a ASP.NET/C# web system for their customers, using a ORM Framework for the database abstraction and it's a really awesome project to be a part of. Unfortunately I can't really say much more about it than that, secrecy policies...
I really want to look into Silverlight and Expression Encoder to try and stream live video some day but that's a project that has to wait for a while since Microsoft's products ain't that very cheap for a poor student unless you're satisfied with the Express or Student versions that you are prohibited from using commercially.
Hi, I'm a Programmer for an Aeronautical Firm in St. Louis. I work in my spare time developing games of all kinds. I have been working in C# for about 1.5 years and before that was working with C, Fortran, Ada, C++ and some scripting, distributed simulation.
I recently started creating custom software solutions for local companies here in St. Louis as a contractor trying to launch my own company, while still working for my employer. This new company is specializing in custom cheap business tools for small businesses.
I am also working on an online multiplayer strategy board game. Play is somewhat like MetaSquarez (was on AOL in the late 90's). Server and Client are both in C#.

I've been working on a basic scheduling application for scheduling events on days, weeks, whatever. I'm getting fairly familiar with the .NET framework. I just dink around here and there just to build my experience.
I consider myself a C#-er.

Currently working as a Jr. Programmer on an Army contract at a local Military base. I've almost got a year under my belt as a C#/C++ developer so I'm excited. I love my job sooooo much! Almost finished with my bachelors degree in CS. Mostly what i use C# for is developing applications that can automate various process from working with excel files, databases, or whatever else for a government program called IADS.
I've been programming since high school and along the way i've picked up or had to use for my job: Java, Javascript, XSLT, ASP.NET, ADO.Net, XML, Pascal, SQL, FoxPro, PHP, and HTML.
Worked on a bit of DirectX (Direct3D, DirectInput, DirectSound), as well as simple GDI+ graphics with games. Also made a class to manage HID (a type of USB port) input to work with a drum controller from Rock Band.
I have been using C# now for about a year, mainly using the XNA Framework. I woulodn't say I'm profeicient as still learning, I have recently completed a City and Guilds in Software Development in C# and got a distinction I'm currently working on a Lottery Program. I'm due to start a uni course next month so hoping programming skill will improve greatly.
I am using C# as well... I wouldn't say that I am as proficient in C# as I am in C++ just yet, however.
People tend to say that learning C# after C++ makes you feel like you're in shackles, I beg to differ. It actually helps you understand C# a lot better.
I'm working on a background app that will automatically augment smilies into whatever you're typing. Obviously not industrial level. Still a student. A friend of mine wants this for Forumwarz.
I was at a startup, Data Storage Group, until we ran low on cash. I wrote a significant part of their ArchiveIQ and GoProtect products. I wrote the search engine, the Volume Shadowcopy Requestors for open file access, SQLServer and Exchange, the publish/subscribe event notification service, the NTFS Master File Table and USN Journal support. We make just over $1 million in revenue in the first fiscal year ended in Sep. 2008. But without venture money I couldn't see us getting to the next level.
Currently, I'm looking for contract work and writing an image/media organization application that makes it easy to add keywords, comments and titles to large numbers of media files. It is written in WPF and uses the new Desktop Search Engine for finding image files.
