Yeah, I used to run google ads on my site but it didnt work well, I guess people are only interested in clicking ads when it looks like they link to somewhere else in the site wink2.gif

I am dumping Clicksor. Their contextual stuff really sucks, so I really don't reccommend it. www.clicksor.com is a big no no.
skyhawk133
Can you link us to your implementation if you haven't dumped it already?
max302
Sure. www.maximerousseau.com. I have in-content ads in minimal quantity since their contextualization(?) sucks so bad, and the skyscraper on the right is also by them. I didn't really expect any big income since after all this is my personal blog and that I'm not the hottest tech person on the block, but considering the visits that I've been getting (200+ per week) and my total revenue for about 6 months (about 1$), this is definitely not working.
skyhawk133
Good info. Have you tried any other monetization?
max302
Sorry for long reply. No I haven't. At one point, I subscribed to Adsense, but it askes you for tax info stuff, and sad thing is that I am 4 years under tax-paying age. What also scares me off some programs is mandatory unique visitors, which I usually don't fit in. What keeps me on Clicksor is that I don't know what's right for me.

needing a good, basic, from scratch SEO optimization link por favor.

google is your friend search for it, basically link building and content rich site.

why not use your parents name and register them, i am sure they will understand and just explain that you are generating money.
skyhawk133
Canada may be different, and I'm not an accountant so I can't tell you for sure, but typically you would just file a 1099 on your parents taxes since they claim you as a dependent. You would use your social security number as your Tax ID.

That's how it works in the US I believe, but again, I'm not a tax attorney or accountant, so make sure you call one first. Most will provide a free consultation to answer those types of questions.

Can I add something here? Please remove if the DIC gods see fit.

There are lots of WAHMs that would pay to advertise on your site. For instance, having their button, banner or text/link ad displayed on your site. If you have a newsletter they would pay to be featured in them. They would also sponsor contests and such. So you might want to think outside of the box and start offering that. It's a surefire way to bring in money. Just thought I'd let you know!~A
