Before starting, note that I will be using Macromedia Fireworks MX 2004 and results of this tutorial may differ with other versions. This tutorial is very simple yet shows a great effect.
Also, I will first show you the result of my tutorial, so you can understand the nature and difficulty of this tutorial.
I have used DIC's header and implemented the name into the background.
- To begin, we first paste an image on the canvas so in this case, the DIC header.
- We then type in text, so we type in </dream.in.code>. I have used ORC A Extended which should be included in all Fireworks and Windows.
- Then with the text selected, go to the Properties window below the screen, select Effects --> Bevel and Emboss --> Raised Emboss.
- For the text, the properties are as followed:
- Width - 2
- Contrast - 100%
- Softness - 0
- Angle - 30
- Show Object - Unchecked
And now the result should be the same as mine.
