i want to make a minor on language converter in c , it is hard becoz ascci values are not defined for hindi words ,i want some suggetions

You would have to find a character set that supports both languages.
Look at this site

This is not an easy task at all.
If by minor language converter you mean less than 100 or so words, then its feasible. Else, it'll be almost impossible without some sort of dictionary the program reads.

Unicode will allow you to do it, but language translators can be ENORMOUS undertakings. Not to discourage you of course, start small and build it up biggrin.gif. You will need a database if you want to get serious with it, and that's sql. Then you need to hook it up with the code. Good luck!
