I don't know what "sed" is but I use The Regex Coach to test both my preg_* and ereg_* stuff.

sed is a stream editor, generally used to edit files through a series of command line arguments. It has very powerful regex capapbilities, and is familiar to unix and linux users. I heard about a windows implementation once, but I've never tracked it down.

sed is a powerful UNIX command-line pattern matching and string manipulation utility. Often compared to its cousin application, awk. Anything you can do in awk/sed you can do in PHP ... but it will probably take a few more lines of code wink2.gif
