Yeah, It is Joe Hatch Graphics, (Joe Hatch being myself.)

It was just to add some kind of watermark without obscuring the image too much.

you might think it looks pretty but it doesn't act very well as a logo.

when you design a true logo it needs to be many things but one of the most important is the ability to be recreated in a number of different forms, on the web & in print (in bw & color) at a number of different sizes, anything from letterhead to posters.

this logo would a) probably not work in bw and cool.gif at any smaller size wouldn't really work at all.

its too complex, it doesn't create an identity, after viewing it I have no idea what the company does and I don't remember the company name.

thats just some thoughts.

It's a kind of "header/logo" designed to be at the top of the page.
