Webmaster Joined: 12 Mar, 2009 Posts: 2,087 Thanked: 142 times Dream Kudos: 1350 My Contributions	every one is in problem with this function sometimes me too, and i have a few questions about this function is it depending on server that we are uploading our website. some time works and some time fails are we missing some point to complete. when i send an email to official email it return true but i can't receive email why?

Because the mail function sent the mail. It doesn't validate that the email server actually did anything with it, or it can't validate if the email was received. Basic vs SMTP Direct & it should make it a little easier to understand.

New D.I.C Head Joined: 23 Jul, 2009 Posts: 4	Some times it depeds of the server, the php.ini can disable the mail() function, at the same time you need to have real headers so it goes directly to inbox, else it will be spam and in some cases it won't even be accepted. Still Hotmail has the worst security of all with a simple mail from other place it will go to inbox I have done this using other peoples mails like "yourbestfriend@gmail.com" to "mymail@hotmail.com" and it goes directly to inbox lol Still if you are paying for a server I recomend you to use real server headers since that way you will be able to be 100% on inbox while you don't start spamming
