im making a website
and the menu items are in flash
i was wondering if could make a 3d effect in them according to the mouse position
meaning if the mouse was below those items
the items has a 3d effect that are like attracted to the mouse
if the mouse is over the buttons,,,,,,the buttons have a 3d effect that they r attracted to it
can i do that??

If you are making a full flash site, and using Actionscript 3 you can do that fairly easily, yes.

You take the move position onEnterFrame and then you have to have each of the menu items change they x, y, z, and rotations based upon an algorithm that you come up with to make them look like they are attracted to the mouse.

Please post some code if you want code. smile.gif

Hope that makes sense.

No, all staff are volunteers.

Sorry about not really being able to talk more code with you. It is one of the site rules that we are only allowed to talk theory until you post your best attempt code.

the buttons on the right must be attracted to the left and the buttons to the left, attracted to the right
