Making an AntiVirus is not an easy task. You have to master a programming language first. Does it matter which one to chose at the starting level? No, not really. You need to understand the basic principles of how software is being built.
Later, when you want to start developing complex software (like an AntiVirus in your case), you will first of all have to understand the internals of that specific software - how it works and why it works that way. Then, you will try to implement that in code.
Just on a side note, alone, you probably won't go far with such an extensive project. It not only requires expertise in programing, but also in mathematics, algorithms and cryptography. Such projects are developed by teams of experienced developers.
