I was excited for this game when I read about 3-4 years ago in a Game Informer magazine, it was worth the wait in my opinion. This game is a cross between Spawn, Spiderman, Assassins Creed, and the GTA style games.
The open world free roam is pretty sweet, running up the sides of buildings and jumping off and crashing to the street never gets old. (Well at least not yet).
I can say I am pretty happy with how this game turned out. For those of you who have played it what are your thoughts?
I'd also say that it's a cross between Crackdown too. I definitely get the Crackdown vibe while playing it. That's a very good thing though. Crackdown is one of my favorite games on the 360.
Anyway, this game is good. I'm not going to say great. It's got it's ups and downs. The downs include: -Repetitive Missions -Too many enemies on screen at once -Less than stellar Graphics -Very bad pop up
For all up those negative things though, there's plenty of good stuff about the game. It really starts to pick up once you start gaining new abilities and stuff. The point of this game is to make you feel like a complete Bad @ss, Once that starts to happen, the game truly shines.

Best game I've played in a long while. I went into sleep debt yesterday because of it
I couldn't put my finger on it, but i finally realized what it reminded me of, slightly. State of Emergency in the sense of chaos and running around doing whatever.
It's such a great game, I'm recommending it to everyone!
I'm playing on the PC and while there is pop up, it isn't worse then anything else I've played. Maybe the 360 version has more?

I could definitely imagine that being the case. The pop up occurs the worst when you are flying like a helicopter or something. When you're in the air, and trying to spot those orb things, they don't even appear on the screen until you get right up next to them. That's a bit ridiculous if you ask me.
Perhaps they did that in order to take people's attention off the pop up.
But like I sad in my first post, nothing that is negative in this game is enough to kill it. I just wish they would have got everything worked out because it has potential to be one of the best games of the year.
Also, for the 360 I wouldn't mind seeing some DLC. If they could throw in some more missions that are a lot different than the others, that could add a lot of replay value and I'm sure a lot of people would buy it.

What is this "popup" you speak of?
Like when you don't see anything there, then all of a sudden a big building pops into your screen.

Oh man I'm so jealous! I've been wanting to play that game for so long! I haven't even played a demo. It sucks. I have played Infamous though and I've heard that Prototype's gameplay is a lot like that, but much more ugly and covered in blood. Which is awesome. I never get tired of that game. Even just the demo I could play the Infamous demo all day and not get bored. Just something about giving everyone in sight the literal shocker gives one peace in his heart.
