So I decided to reformat my hard drive last night. Everything was going good. When I went to bed, I had a fully operational computer with pretty much just Vista Ultimate on it. When I woke up this morning and turned it on, it worked fine, so I went about my daily routine. When I came back about 10 minutes later, I discovered that it had just rebooted. Concerned - I monitored it. It went to the Vista loading screen and just sat there, looping around. When I tried safe mode I noticed that the last file it loaded was CRCDISK. Of course I have seen this before, and was checking my drives etc etc. I had powered it down while I was checking everything, and when I turned it back on, I realized that there was no video. I have tried everything! Rebooting - Clearing CMOS - Removing every nonessential device - Trying another monitor - Everything I could possibly think of, and I still haven't got it to work. Could someone please help me resolve this issue. My motherboard does not have integrated video. My specs are:
MSI P7N-SLI motherboard Gigabyte 9800GTX+ 1GB video card (Yes, I did update the firmware when I got it) 8GB OCZ RAM Intel Quad core 2.4GHZ
Thanks in advance for the help.
Edit: I have video again. However, Vista is still stuck on the CRCDISK thing (I am aware that CRCDISK is fine because it was loaded into the list, I just don't know the name of the next file). Anyone know why this is, and what could I do to prevent this?
