Hi

I wanted to know if someone knows where i could edit the html output that comes from a webserver...
example:
webserver is sending html file that outputs "hello". know i want to edit this befor it shows up on my screen eg. to "hello world".
is that possible???

it would go into manipulating Firefox source code itself wouldnt it?
but its opensource anyhow...

would be glad if someone can tell me

If you use a good browser you can edit the source and live update it directly.

Assuming you're doing this asynchronously (ie via AJAX), it's pretty easy. Your JavaScript code could "catch" the error response and do whatever you wanted with it.

Otherwise, if you're talking about an error page, you'd have to edit the server-side code on that custom error page to manipulate the message before it rendered.
