New D.I.C Head Joined: 17 Jun, 2009 Posts: 1	[14] I have an excel spread sheet with some data in it and I want the data that are displayed in columns to turn them into rows (The names of the cities and the numbers going with them See attachement of what the spread sheet looks like. I have started doing the changes mannually on the spreadsheet but I was wondering if there is any easier way to do that. I have attached an example of how I want to change the data (highlighted columns). The reason why I am asking for help is because this is a very big spread sheet which it would take me days to change. I have tried to work on it in Access Database but I could not do much. I was wondering if anyone out there can help me. Any advice and tips would be much appreciate it. I have never used access before and I am a novice excel user. Thanks Chrysothemi

New D.I.C Head Joined: 7 May, 2009 Posts: 13 Thanked: 1 times My Contributions	If I wanted to change the data in cells A1, A2 and A3 to a row rather than a column I would need to use a transpose function as follows... 1. Highlight the cells in the column that need transposing. 2. Copy. 3. select the first cell of the row that you want to transpose into. 3. Select paste special and transpose. You should not really be posting this issue in this section as it is not database related; also you could have easily found the solution in google.
