New D.I.C Head Joined: 16 Jun, 2009 Posts: 9	Please guide me about this. Only a few lines will do: The hardwired and microcode methods form two radically different approaches to control unit design. In your opinion, which approach is better, when we talk in term of performance?

Hardwired CU will almost always be faster, because you're putting the task in hands of the linear, automated hardware to do the job, instead of a software.
