Photoshop CS4, Pros? Cons?

New D.I.C Head Joined: 2 Jun, 2009 Posts: 40 My Contributions	I've been considering making the transition from Photoshop CS3 to CS4. I haven't a clue what's new in CS4 (or what isn't), and I was wondering if anyone here has any insight. A friend of mine who's taking a couple classes involving Photoshop and editing suggested getting CS4 and I'm apprehensive for any new program I get anymore.

Photoshop had so many great updates and upgraded things I had wanted for so long I have actually started to use it (instead of Gimp, which I love). It loads quicker and everyhting I just love it!

i am colt mccoy Joined: 26 Apr, 2001 Posts: 9,780 Thanked: 29 times Dream Kudos: 550 My Contributions	honestly, workflow wise there isn't a HUGE difference for me between cs3 and 4. i normally only do the skip up after 2 photoshop releases. however, one change that is cool imo, is (if you have a decent video card) your gonna be able to render things crisply at any viewing size. before it was, 25, 50, 100 your gonna get something good to look at, now you could be at 33.342% and get a crisp image. helps alot with high res work. there are things like that that are just incremental improvements but nice....
