So since IE chooses not to follow the CSS standards... I need some help with a cross-browser code.

What I have is a DIV code, as follows:

[code]
<div class="content" style="position: absolute;
top:100px;
width: 900px;
height: 40px;
left: 50%;
margin-left: -451px !important;
background-color: transparent;">
<img src="image">
</div>
[code]

Do I add something to that?
Or something else to the CSS.

Thanks guys and gals,
Cody

What's the actual problem?? And you'll probably find IE's doing it right.

Well in FF, Opera, and even Chrome. It'll be one position. But I'll cross-reference it to IE and it'll shift over.

Did you ever consider that it might be something to do with left: 50%;, you know, a variable position?

Do you have an example page online?? I'll post back in the morning unless you get some guy randomly guessing at what it could be over around 6 posts and let you know what the exact problem is.

I can't test absolutely positioned divs cos I have nothing to test it against..
