Exporting a VB6 Project, Please explain how

New D.I.C Head Joined: 27 Jun, 2009 Posts: 17 My Contributions	I would like to send a VB6 project to someone who would then do some work on it. I keep sending what I think are the correct project but they cannot open it. Please tell me step for step how to do this. Thankyou

D.I.C Lover Joined: 20 Feb, 2009 Posts: 5,463 Thanked: 75 times Dream Kudos: 1675 My Contributions	I've done it before where I only had the .frm and I recovered the whole program. So it should work with you. Well, to test it, could you upload the [.frm file and I'll see if I can run it etc...

D.I.C Head Joined: 12 Mar, 2009 Posts: 71 Thanked: 6 times My Contributions	Hi oe8pck, Try sending this other person the project file(.vbp), all the form files(.frm), any modules you may have(.bas), and any class files you may have(.cls). Now, when the other person tries to open it on their computer, the project file will not have the correct path to all the form, module or class files because it will be using the path you have set on your computer. So when this other person gets an error saying that it cannot find the forms ect. This other person will have to manually add them to the project by selecting the Project menu, then Add Form, Add Module ect. After that, it should compile and run for them on their computer. But then when you get the files back, you will probably have to do the same thing on your computer. I hope this helps!
