Hi, this is the thread where we talk about movies that we look forward to.

Now, this spring and summer hasnt been terrible movie wise, but with all the sequels and prequels and what nots, you'd wish that someone could come with some new ideas. Luckily, there's a few titles due to arrive this fall/winter that looks promising, especially if you are a sci-fi fan:

The Road
trailer
IPB Image
Post apocalyptic movie. The trailer is a bit silly, but the novels it's based on is presumably really good so let's hope for the best!

The Surrogates
trailer

Based on an indie comic series. The story is really cool so I'm looking forward to this one.

The Moon
trailer

Actually already shown (and praised) on Sundance and such. Bigger realase due next month though!

Splice
IPB Image
No trailers yet on this one. Produced by allmighty Guillermo Del Toro and directed by the guy who did Cube.

District 9
trailer

Don't know that much about this one. Looks good though.

So, either discuss the movies posted by me or post what movies you are looking forward to.

I'm not really a fan of his, but I take comfort in having atleast liked both Fifth Element and Twelve Monkeys (the sci-fi movies I can think of that he's starred in so far)!

Die Hard? Planet Terror? Unbreakable? Bruce is an action hero of back in the day.

I have been disappointed in Hollywood over the past several years. Same shit different actors, no creativity. Same goes with Television programming.

I have yet to see some real creativity come out lately.

District 9 looks like it is going to blow. Hard.

Now Tim Burton's "Nine" looks amazing.

Yeah, I would totally see "Nine." If District 9 turns out like Cloverfield, I'll hate it.

I said sci-fi movies! I thinks I have seen most things he's in.

I think Nine looks more like a video game then a movie.

The pics from Burton's take on Alice in Wonderland looks good, even though that's way into the future.

Nice list. Love Del Toro.

One that's not quite on the radar yet, but has promise, is "9".

It's based on a surprisingly engaging short film from Shane Acker. The short runs 11 minutes and is worth the watch, found on YouTube and elsewhere.

No kidding. I mean I invented the question mark, but I have yet to a dime from it. Now if you will excuse me I have to chastise some chestnuts for being lazy.
