Hi! I am asking for help on behalf of my friend. She's having problems in fixing the CSS of this site >> http://asdc2009.com

The ideal layout for the site can be viewed when the site is opened with Firefox. But if you open the site on IE 8, the layout is ruined and becomes messy.

I've tried altering some things like the margin and padding but nothing seem to work and I end up making the layout worst for my friend.

Could anyone help? ASAP would be great!

trying changing the width of the leftcolumn and right column.
This will be trial and error until you get both to fit.
It may result in you needing to make other small changes to the layout such
as image size.

They should have really tested this in other browsers before getting this far.

Yes it's a width issue, and it's not an IE8 issue either. It's a Firefox issue for letting you get away with it, it doesn't work in any other browser but Firefox.

The fact that you're trying to float tables doesn't really help as you're not displaying data, but yeah, sort out the widths and you should be fine.

You could even increase the whole width of the content container by a hunded or so pixels, then you have more room to play about.
