Total DIC-Wad Joined: 25 Mar, 2009 Posts: 1,023 Thanked: 16 times Dream Kudos: 550 My Contributions	I just installed PHP on a Win XP system. Now I read that when you add PHP to HTML, you save the files as .php. Is this correct? Second Question: Even when I download php files from a zip and run them with IE, I get a download box and it shows me the source. I know this can't be right, please help.

D.I.C Regular Joined: 1 Dec, 2008 Posts: 292 Thanked: 20 times Dream Kudos: 150 My Contributions	Yes, you save the files as .php To run the php files you either need to install php on your computer, or upload the file to a site that can run the files. Some servers do not support php.

Normally you need something to act as a server that knows what to do with the requests for the files. Now, on windows I know you need something like this, and I assume the same on Linux. Not sure if that is the problem or not.
