Recently I mentioned a tweet on my list of updates that Gmail is not Beta anymore (as you previously saw, there was a Beta tag by the logo). I checked it and really - there is no more Beta tag by the Gmail logo. Well, I guess they fixed all the major issues (if there were any) and now it is officially in the "production" edition.

Interesting. I just refreshed my page about 20 minutes ago (maybe a bit longer) and it had the BETA logo there. But now it is gone.

Interesting. I would have thought that they would have taken it off of beta a while ago, but they never did - until now. One thing that always annoyed me with Gmail is that they chose to stop supporting all features in IE 6. People still use the old browsers, so why shouldn't they support them? Oh well, it isn't that big of a deal to me. The thing that annoys me more is their constant "Try Google Chrome for Faster Gmail stuff" ads at the top of google.com and gmail. I don't want to change to chrome, it is already installed on the computer, I just don't use it as my default browser... Lol.

Well, it is nice to see they finally think it is good enough to not be a beta anymore.

Just a side note regarding IE6 - according to statistics (found here) its usage is declining and IE8 already surpassed it.
