i want to make a browser based game but i have absolutely no clue how to start, what to use, or what in the world codes are forjava script:emoticon(':blink:',%20'smid_6')! can someone help me with this? (the game is going to be a browser-based Pikmin game. i already have my ideas)

I would suggest learning PHP, and Javascript. There are tutorials all over this site

There are many options. Like SwiftStriker00 said, PHP and Javascript is one option. Flash/Actionscript could be used for your graphics. You could also look into Java applets for a browser based game. You will have to be more specific on what you want to achieve. Just asking how to make a browser game is a little vague.

I'm guessing your making a single player game.If so you might want to head over to web development i believe,and start looking at java script,and flash.I hope i helped a bit.
