hi, hello..ahm, im doing right now my research,.pls help..does anyone know any existing product that deals with noise control, or related to this??

ahm right now, i just got my title defend from my instructor, and he accpted it..here it is..
I'll make a system that regulates noise in a library. heres the description, if the system detects any noise, it will create a sound or a beeping sound that warns the student to keep quiet..

pls site me some products related to this..
and later of this thread, maybe by august or september, i will make the code for the system..

thankz..

I assume this isn't a final project to graduate?
All you need is a microphone, and a program that streams in from the microphone. If the Y amplitude of the signal reaches some threshold for longer then X time then pulse alarm.

This is implemented in my childrens elementary school. In the cafeteria, they have a stoplight that stays at green if the sound level is appropriate in the room, then turns yellow if they get loud.. and finally turns red if the sound stays loud for a particualr period of time. The Red light indicates they no longer have the privilege to speak. After a few minutes of no talking, the red light turns back to green.

As a group they have become trained to self manage the noise level in the cafeteria.

implementation seems fairly trivial. I'm sure you shouldn't have a problem.

Yup, this is not a thesis. It's a requirement for my thesis next year.

I have no idea if it even has a name. It is in the cafeteria of Mount Hope Elementary School in O'fallon Missouri.

You may be able to contact the school administrators to get more information about where they obtained it.. and who designed it.

PS.. I think the idea of visual indications instead of Beeping as you suggest, is better. Something about using sound to notify that the sound is too high.. contradicts itself..
