Tabs go BOOM!

Total DIC-Wad Joined: 25 Mar, 2009 Posts: 1,029 Thanked: 16 times Dream Kudos: 550 My Contributions	Is it just me? Suddenly tabs have exploded. I think it started with IE 7. Then IE 8. Then Chrome. Firefox. Safari. Even the browser on my iPhone has tabs. So now, the question is, are tabs mor useful then a new window? I fond myself using them quite a bit. They definitely conserve space on that little thingy with all my windows. And now, is there a possibility with HTML? Will later versions carry a new type of target for links? Something like: CODE <a href="URL" target="_TAB"> Is that coming? It would certaily be more useful than right clicking the link all the time. Just think on it.

D.I.C Lover Joined: 20 Feb, 2009 Posts: 5,476 Thanked: 77 times Dream Kudos: 1675 My Contributions	No. It depends on the browser. Usually _blank in most "newer" browsers will automatically open up as a new tab. Tabs are for easy feasibility and are space saving.

Tip: Move forward, get the latest version of each browser, that you need. That way, the _blank will be needed only. Maybe HTML6
