I have searched here, google, and every other programming site I can find with no luck. Didn't know what to name topic title either.

I have a beta program that I have made, posted on the net for free download. I got opinions and advice on what the users of the program want to see, and now wanting to publish another version with more advanced features when a serial/product number is entered.

So for the past 4 days I have been scouring trying to find resources that I can understand on how to implement something that would work. Off of what I have read (that has been utterly confusing) I have been looking into different ways that would be a more simple method for me to implement that was not too difficult to grasp, yet remain "crack resistant".

Not to mention I do not have my own site to publish this on, so I am having to utilize free file hosting sites for this purpose. Which means that if I wanted to have this program request a key from a server or something, I would need to have my own server, or at least rented one...as well as someone to run it for me since I know jack about running a secure server like that.

I have also looked into the products at (http://www.infralution.com/licensing.html). This is a bit pricey for my budget right now, as I would only be charging like $20 for the more advanced features...not to mention that I am certain I would muck something up trying to install any of that stuff after wasting money on it.

So now I am here trying to kill all birds with 1 stone. Is there a service that will take my code, apply the trial key stuff, publish it on their site and sell it for me for a royalty or percentage fee (while I keep the rights to the original code for future updates)? I'm not really sure if I am even asking this correctly but am sure someone will have some idea of what I'm talking about and whether there is something like this available.

Thanks in advance for the help!

You want to build a program that's something like shareware?

Kinda...I'd like to make mine shareware, but no luck understanding the stuff available that tells exactly how to do this. So I was hoping that someone knew of a company or service that makes the program a trial version, then publishes on a site since I don't have my own. I have looked for solutions to this but have yet to find anything so far, which is why I even ask here.

This site is the industry standard for this
This site is a rival that is not as recognized but costs less.

They are both funded by a percentage of your sales, and can handle everything from licensing to "in the box" shipping of your software to the client. You write the software they handle all of the distributing and collecting payment details.

I plan to use this sometime in the future to market one of my projects.
