Emacs Color Trouble

Emacs Color Trouble, Colors are darker than they should be.

D.I.C Head Joined: 19 Feb, 2008 Posts: 57 Dream Kudos: 50 My Contributions	Hey guys, I'm currently using ssh secure shell to ssh into my schools linux machines. I set up emacs to use colors, but for some reason all the colors are appearing really dark. For example if you set the background to white in the .emacs file, when you restart emacs it displays grey. I'm not using an x server or anything all the colors are generated in the shell. Anyone know have any ideas with what's up?
