Ok, I am trying to teach my self bash and was wondering if there is a way to easily determine the number of programs that a .bash file executes.

For instance, if my bash file is:
CODE

#!/bin/bash
ls -l | sort

how can I figure out how many programs other than bash will execute when I run that file?
