Hi Everyone,

I'm still pretty new here at the forums, I do ALOT more reading than I do posting , but I'm working on that. Anyway I am starting a project code named "Fusion" this is going to be an advanced web browser implementing some sort of a new and intuitive UI, and ushering in some "new standards". The project is going to be about developing the web browser, and the "New Standards", these standars can be anything from the way something is viewed to the way something behaves, it can be anything. And also combining an addon or development platform for the web browser to have somewhat of "Applets". This project also aims to make the process of web browser easy and "smooth: for the end user, and It is also going to be customizable. I know I havent given all that much information here, but, If anyone is interested in being a part of this project please PM me or leave a reply below, ASAP. I already have 2 people that are willing to help and am looking for about 3-5 more. We also need testers if you are willing to test it, and also just people to think of concepts / Ideas for features and anything else along the line.. The web browser is going to be based off the current code of a web browser project I started beofre it got fairly advanced and then we kind of just stopped it, so please if you are interested PM me.

This is probably in the wrong section. but anyway..

What language and tools are you planning on using for this? Do you have any graphic artists yet?

Do you have a proposed feature list? What do you think the need for this is driven by? Are the browsers we have really that bad? What proposed end use of this do you forsee? A commercial product? An open source product? How do you plan to distribute the end product?

What design methodology do you plan to use? Agile? Waterfall? What documentation do you have of the existing codebase? Are you going to use a management system like scrum? if so can you tell us which one / how you plan to manage the workload? Are you going to do iterative development? How long would your sprints be?

How are you going to track bugs? Do yo uhave a configuration control system in place? What system and tools do you plan to use for that? licensing for the tools supplied or using open source toolsets?

Just a few questions that will allow the developers here to better understand the maturity and stability of your project.

It's a daring idea, but as always, build it and they will come.

I personally, love chrome, and would like to see something like chrome, with more functionality.

Chrome is stable and fast, and its searching and bookmarking, combined with dictionary, is handy and intuitive. However, I loved the addon feature of Mozilla, for things like unplug, downloadfox ect.

Actually, Lets Focus on Unplug. I would love a browser with an inbuilt function to pull files from web pages. .SWF, Movie files ect.

More ideas, if you want them.
