D.I.C Regular Joined: 13 Dec, 2007 Posts: 292 Thanked: 8 times My Contributions	Whenever I hear the word Peer-to-peer, projects like BitTorrent, Napster,Limewire etc comes in my mind. I was wondering, are there some other projects that you can implement with the idea of p2p, except file sharing I mean. Is there any other known service that is based in the P2P idea?Or something else that you can implement?

D.I.C Regular Joined: 13 Jul, 2009 Posts: 273 Thanked: 25 times My Contributions	P2P architecture has been discussed as a way to reduce the bottleneck at the server for multiple client collaboration software, or multiplayer games. There are a couple White paper algorithms that have been proven using that technique. Google Scholar turns up some interesting projects using peer to peer architecture.. too heavy for discussion here. I suggest looking at CHORD, PASTRY but honestly it looks like most of the research work has been submitted in 2000-2005 almost 5 years out of date. Nothing too recent has been published there that I could find. I didn't check any scientific journals. Let me know what you turn up! Aet
