Microsoft announced yesterday they will be providing Visual Studio 2005 Expressfree for 1 year! This means you can download any of the Visual Studio 2005 Express editions until November 7th, 2006.
I really have no idea about Visual BASIC 2005 Express. I use VB6 Enterprise. Is VB 2005 Express any different? What makes it different and better(if it is...) than VB6?
Well, better is a subjective term...it has some additional features, some more inherent classes (including some fairly robust ones for database interaction)...to be honest, I haven't really explored it...only know the basics of it.
"Effective April 19th, 2006, all Visual Studio 2005 Express Editions are free permanently. This pricing covers all Visual Studio 2005 Express Editions including Visual Basic, Visual C#, Visual C++, Visual J#, and Visual Web Developer as well as all localized versions of Visual Studio Express. "
