Your question is very broad. The field of computer science encompasses so much that it would be a very different work day from one job to another..

For instance.. a programmer doing contract work for local companies would be doing a different job each time he contracted.. with different expectations of a work day and probably would work from home.

I work for a defense contractor and do a 40 hour work week with overtime occasionally, a desk with a computer terminal in a cubicle, working on a team of programmers that are producing a large product.

A network oriented IT professional may spend the day supporting the network, implementing new software configurations and troubleshooting network issues.

Other areas might be website design working closely with graphic artists..

It really just depends on what you intend to do within the field of computer science.

There are too many specialties within computer science to even list here..

Try to think of something youd like to do within computer science and then work towards that!
Do what you like.. otherwise your job is work.. and thats no fun.
