Well, for one thing you'll want to make sure you're not declaring things over-and-over again. Lots of developers like to declare fonts and sizes a million times... try to avoid that.

You can also minify your CSS file. Search Google and you'll find some free minification tools.

Also, check out the YSlow! plugin for Firefox. It will give you some good ideas.
