I've seen people use images to make the rounded corners as well but what is the best most practical and efficient way?

I came across a couple of these sites

I'd say using the JQuery rounded corners plugin. That way, they will only not show up if they have javascript disabled in their browser.

Cheers

I would only start using Jquery once you make the switch to HTML 5. That way everyone will have the Java in their browser.
