I'd like to introduce the 2nd Dream.In.Code Community Awards Nominations.

At this prestigious event we'll be giving out awards to members who have stood out in the community. These awards may be worn proudly for the entire year by members who receive them. The Dream.In.Code Community Award winners will be nominated and picked by you, the DIC Heads smile.gif

Starting today, we'll begin accepting nominations through the link below. There are several categories and you may fill out the form twice (for a total of 2 nominations in each category). You don't have to nominate for every category. These are nominations, not votes. Voting will start in December.

Here are the nominations categories:
  • DIC Blog of the Year
  • Most Helpful - Programming
  • Most Helpful - Web Development
  • Most Helpful - Computers & Games
  • Mentor of the Year
  • Expert of the Year
  • Author of the Year
  • Contributor of the Year
  • Favorite Alumni
  • Staff Member of the Year
  • Nicest Member of the Year
  • Funniest Member of the Year
  • New Member of the Year (Must have registered in 2009)
  • DIC Head of the Year

You know what we need? Little DIC trophies, like tiny gifs or something that we can put in our sigs if we win or get nommed. Also, maybe a field that automatically gets updated and cannot be changed in our profiles with a list of awards! Just an idea...

chris another idea. if you fancy i know a mod for when u you upgrade to the latest ipb which will support multi year and multi awards which are highly configurable.

anyway just a member of dic team pm if you are interested.


also guys we should have worest speller/grammar of the year.

I can help make 'trophies' or whatever, to put in the signatures. What should they be? Just pics? Or with words like "Contributor of the Year" or something? Seems like they'd have to be kinda big for that though... Maybe just a small icon with "DIC Award" or something?
