One day my office mate said to my fellow office mate to stop using CSS hacks (you know what I mean about css hacks). The question is, are you willing to use CSS hacks just to make things work? are you willing to sacrifice the w3c standards for these hacks?

My answer will be, it depends, if I can get it to work using javascripts, I'll use javascript, but if it doesn't work... I have no choice but to use one. biggrin.gif

I use css hacks as little as possible, and javascript for layout/css even less. In my opinion you should be able to get the majority of layouts to work using only well structured css and conditional comments. The biggest use of non-standard css I use is Microsoft specific rules rather than hacks, for example using filters to support png transparency in IE6.
