New D.I.C Head Joined: 27 Sep, 2009 Posts: 46 My Contributions	Three months ago, my ISP increased my net speed from 128 Kbps to 256 Kbps, however, apart from Internet Download Manager, no other software showed more than 16 KBps of download speed (IDM went up to 32 KBps). Now my ISP has increased it from 256 Kbps to 1 Mbps. I know that I deserve up to 128 KBps of download speed but apart from IDM, no other software shows more than 16 KBps. IDM goes up to 90 KBps which is fairly generous. P.S. I am using Windows 7.

Joined: 10 May, 2007 Posts: 13,489 Thanked: 303 times Dream Kudos: 2875 Expert In: Goofing Off My Contributions	Contact your ISP & do some speed tests with a technician on the phone. Your speed is going to be as high as the slowest node on the network. If you are basing your speed on someone with a slow upload, & experiencing large load usage, then there isn't a thing that your ISP can do to make that faster.

New D.I.C Head Joined: 27 Sep, 2009 Posts: 46 My Contributions	I think this has got something to do with my PC internally. That's why IDM downloads at 90 KBps. Azureus shows more than 100 KBps of download speed at the bottom right corner but the torrents show no more that about 16 KBps (even if there is one torrent).
