Not your typical help request, probably, but I'm nearly at the end of my Software Engineering class, and part of this week's assignment is to create the Costing Budget.
I have a template, I'm just really looking for realistic values to fill it in with. The book we're using is no help at all with figures, only with the formulas. =P
The overall project I've designed is a fairly simple website, but will also need to be tied into existing databases. I am to define the tasks in the execution, and estimate amounts for those, monitoring and controlling, and closing costs. This is where your expert judgement comes in. LOL
I'd like to see if anyone could give me some input on "typical" budgeted costs. The template is set up for hourly costs. I'm going to say (perhaps wrongly) that I wouldn't need high-level programming, just assembly code programming, for my execution tasks. I intend to use an "average" knowledge-level programmer. I have no clue about monitoring and controlling, and closing costs, and again, our book is useless here, not even mentioning those. Can anyone offer me some reasonable or standard values for these? Even just a good example of a completed costing budget would likely help.
Thanks! jo
